Tif Sigfrids is happy to present a group exhibition that brings together the work of Becky Kolsrud, Jasmine Little, and Amy Pleasant. The exhibition will open with a reception on Saturday, June 8th from 4-6 in the afternoon and remain on view through July 13th.

The exhibition combines, for the first time, the work of these three artists who live and work in different cities across the US. The show highlights Kolsrud, Little, and Pleasant’s overlapping interests in representation with emphasis on the fragmented female figure. Becky Kolsrud’s obscured figures occupy compressed fictional spaces and engage with allegory through the use of the female nude. Jasmine Little’s ceramic vessels are conceived as substrates for surface depictions that suggest ideas about humanity, mythology, and history. Representations of people in nature are expressed through decorative motifs depicting scenes that oscillate between the extremes of elation and abjection. Amy Pleasant’s paintings explore the fragmented figure as a sign or symbol that documents essential, universal motions and human behaviors.
