The UT Downtown Gallery is pleased to host an artist lecture by Amy Pleasant in conjunction with her two-person exhibition with Katarina Riesing, currently on display at the UT Downtown Gallery. The lecture will be at 5:30pm in room 109 of the Art + Architecture Building on the UT Campus.
Birmingham-based Pleasant's work includes painting, drawing, and ceramic sculpture, all exploring the body and language through repetition. She explores the fragmented figure as sign or symbol speaking to the complexities of gender and representation.
